Shena Martin
Hospital Manager

I moved to San Antonio Texas about 10 months ago from Indiana. Prior to becoming Hospital Manager, I had worked as a Veterinary Technician for 10 wonderful years, primarily working at Emergency and Specialty Hospitals. I have been blessed in having the opportunity of seeing Veterinary Medicine from many different angles. I have a 5 year old son, 2 dogs and 1 cat. I love my job and our new life in Texas, where it warm nearly all year round!!

Erica at San Antonio Animal Clinic

I was previously a registered veterinary technician with O’Connor Road Animal Hospital for six years before I took a long hiatus to be a stay-at-home mom for my two children. I have now rejoined the OCRAH team as a CSS and don’t shy away from utilizing my tech skills when I can.

My husband and I have a nine year old Boston Terrier named “Banjo,” and are completely enamored by their “squishy-faced” pup.

In my free time, when I’m not loving on puppies and kittens all day, you can find me cuddled up with a good book, or writing one of my own.

Angela at San Antonio Animal Clinic

Angela joined the OCRAH team in March 2018. She started her career as a Veterinary receptionist 3 years ago after leaving a 20 year career as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, who specialized in Veterinary Compounding of medication. She brings her love of customer care from her previous career and enjoys using this to make a positive difference in the lives of not only the animals, but their owners as well. She is always grateful for the opportunity to help educate the community on Heartworm prevention, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spaying and neutering pets to help prevent the stray population here in Texas. Outside of work Angela enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling. She shares her home with her husband Steve, her son Tristan and their own four dogs plus usually 1 or two foster pets.

My passion is caring for animals and educating owners. After 36 years in Nevada I decided to move to Texas where I have worked in many aspects of Veterinary Medicine, although currently I love my job as a Client Service Specialist. I have worked with both domestic and exotic animals. My family consists of my mother and 4 dogs, Fido aka Fidolicious, Chichi, McKinsey and Misha, all of whom have been rescues. I enjoy being involved with the Live Oak Humane Society and Rotary Club in my spare time.

I have worked in many areas including teaching Jr. High Science as well as Sales Representative and National Sales Manager in the Furniture industry. I have been married 48 years now and we have a son, daughter, grand daughter and 2 grandsons. In my spare time I enjoy a variety of things, one of which is breeding and racing Homing Pigeons. This is a passion I have had since childhood. I also trained trailed and hunted labs for about 45 years.  I own an 8 year old lab named Raider for companionship and hunting.

As a young child, I have always had a strong passion for animals. From rescuing stray animals to learning all I can about species and breeds, being a Veterinary Technician had always been a dream. With six years of experience and training, I have been able to accomplish my dream to the fullest. I worked day practice for about 3 years here in San Antonio and eventually began working in the emergency room for animals.
